It has been a very busy week. We had a staff meeting last Wed. We discussed DI. and came up with many wonderful ideas. I worked on a Bloom Tax Lesson using Little Red Riding Hood.
On Friday, the PTO gave us a tasty luncheon! It was great. You name it the parents cooked or baked it. They were very generous and kind to the teachers. It is nice to be appreciated for an occupation you love doing!
Our First Grade Team made terrific strides towards our placements for the 2011- 2012 school year. We used a new procedure this year and it seems to working fine. Hopefully, we will be finished on the 13th.
On Tuesday, it was the annual Spring Fling at Green Meadow. The children loved it! Fun, fun, fun!
The end of the year always brings challenges , for certain students. I am working hard to ease the transition for one of my friends. I'm lucky to have the support of my team. We have been brainstorming a variety of strategies. Sometimes it take a village.... sometimes a small country.
A parent donated some office equipment. I was lucky enough to get my hands on file cabinets. Now, I need to get organized. My desk looks like who did it and ran, but I'm sure I will be happy once I file all my papers, projects and games. I'm trying to get ready for more and more DI lessons next year.

I am a bit unsure about all "this," but I am willing to give it a go. I think it would be interesting to follow different educators. The blog we created last week was fun. I need to practice these skills to really "get" what I am doing. I am a little confused about where I am supposed to be tigermail vs gmail??
